Giving Paws

The laminate flooring was installed yesterday and it looks great! In the picture below, my work out area is in the far corner. There will be four 4 x 6 mats laid down in this area.

I have two 9 year old Maine Coon cats who are litter mates. The male is named Baxter and he weighs 26 lbs. He is named after Baxter State Park in Maine.

The female is named Katahdin and she weighs 16 lbs. She was named after Mt. Katahdin – the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.

Both cats have had to be confined to the master bedroom while the flooring is being installed. Today the contractors delivered the ceramic tile and prepped the area by laying down red chalk lines. As soon as I let Baxter out of the bedroom, he made a beeline for the basement.

Baxter came up about 10 minutes later with red paws! What is it with boys? Why do they always find a way to get into trouble?

Katahdin is a clean freak and would never get her paws dirty.
