Romp to Stomp Snowshoe Series

Since there was no Romp to Stomp in our area, we decided to create our own event. We even got custom shirts with our hiking logo!

We headed up to Shenandoah National Park (SNP) to find some snow today. Skyline Drive is still closed to vehicle traffic so we parked just outside of the park and hiked in via the Dickey Ridge Trail. The trail had already been broken and was muddy and slushy so we did not put on our snow shoes.

Once we reached Skyline Drive, we put on our snow shoes and headed up to the Shenandoah Valley Overlook.

There were fake rose petals lying all around the overlook parking lot. We decided to to have some fun.

We decided to hike back to the car via Skyline Drive – hikers call this “yellow” blazing.
